Torrie is a native of Tucson, AZ. She was a former #1 player in the USTA Southwest Section and ranked in the top 100 Nationally USTA 18 & under.
Torrie was a 4A Arizona State Finalist in 2003 and a two-time 4A Arizona State High School Champion at Ironwood Ridge High School (2004 and 2005).
She was named Female High School Tennis Player of the Year by the Arizona Daily Star in 2004 and 2005.
Torrie played Division I tennis at Wichita State University from 2005-2009, where she was a 4-time Missouri Valley All Conference Selection, team captain her junior and senior year, earned a top 20 ITA Central Region ranking and received the ITA Central Region Athur Ashe Jr. Sportsmanship and Leadership Award.
She helped her team win 3 Missouri Valley Conference Championships which led to 3 NCAA Team Championship appearances. Torrie also helped her team achieve its highest national ranking of 16 during the 2006-2007 season. At the end of her college career in 2009, she was 5th all time in singles wins with 100.
Torrie began her college coaching career at Norfolk State University in 2009 as the Assistant Men’s and Women’s Tennis Coach. During her tenure from 2009-2014, she assisted the Head Coach in coaching the MEAC Conference Men’s Player of the Year, had several MEAC All-Conference selections for both programs and helped the men’s program make the MEAC Conference Tournament Final in 2014.
In 2014,
Torrie continued her college coaching career at The George Washington University.
During her tenure from 2014-2022 at GW, she was an Associate Head Coach of Men’s and Women’s Tennis, Interim Head Coach of Men’s and Women’s Tennis and Head Women’s Tennis Coach. Her accolades are as follows:
- As an Associate Head Coach of Men’s and Women’s Tennis, assisted the Men’s Team in winning the A10 Championship Tournament in 2015
- A10 Conference Men’s Tennis Coach of the Year in 2016, led the men’s team to an A10 Championship and NCAA Team Championship Appearance
- As the Head Women’s Coach, she coached the A10 Conference Most Outstanding Player of the Year in 2018, A10 Rookie of the Year in 2020 and several A10 Conference 1st and 2nd Team Selections
- Received a Master of Science in Sport Management from the School of Business at The George Washington University
Torrie transitioned out of college coaching in May of 2022. She was worked as a Tennis Pro at the prestigious Piping Rock Club in Locust Valley, NY for the summer off 2022 before moving back to Tucson in September of 2022.
In her free time, Torrie loves spending time with her dog, family and friends. She is an avid reader and always has the need to learn something new.

- Co-Director of the famous Tucson Racquet Club Summer Camp
- Lifelong Tucsonan and club alum, starting as a PeeWee camper and developing a love of tennis on TRFC courts
- Oversees club wide tennis programming and directs all junior USTA tournaments as a Certified USTA Tournament Director, USTA SafePlay Certified Professional, Certified in Adult First Aid, CPR, AED- American Red Cross
- In her free time, enjoys reading, hanging out with her family and two dogs, and catching up on podcasts and whatever reality TV drama is unfolding that week.

Allie Hays

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Education, with a major in Physical Education and an emphasis in coaching. Master’s Degree in Physiology and Anatomy and a Ph.D. in Cell biology.

Allie is a former collegiate tennis player and instructor, and a professionally sponsored racquetball player and instructor. Since 2014, Allie has focused on tournament and league pickleball. She loves both playing the sport, and helping to develop skills and passion in those who are new to the sport.
Allie has more than 30 years of teaching experience on the courts and in the classroom and is also the faculty advisor and coach for the University of Arizona Club Pickleball Team!

Jake is a PPR certified coach who also plays for the University of Arizona club pickleball team. Jake is currently studying Marketing at the University of Arizona, and hopes to have a career in pickleball in the future. When he’s not coaching pickleball, you can catch him tanning by the pool or playing softball with his friends.
