I currently treat Tucson, AZ as my home base but I was born and raised in Corpus Christi, Texas. I am 31 years old and converted to pickleball after playing tennis. I come from a high level tennis background where I played Division I tennis and competed internationally as a world ranked junior tennis player. I injured myself in late 2009, which in turn ended my professional tennis prospects. I then went on to coach college tennis as well as help run a junior tennis academy. I coached tennis for 11 years before I was introduced to pickleball. I was introduced to pickleball in November of 2015 in Lansing, Michigan by Dan O’Toole and DJ Howard. Dan O’Toole was actually my first tournament partner in a small local tournament and that’s what really hooked me. And it didn’t hurt that my first day on court I was playing with Simone Jardim and Corrine Carr Siebenschein. I am currently one of the top players in all three pro pickleball events; singles, mixed and doubles. I have been coaching athletics now for 15 years. I am IPTPA certified and currently travel around the world doing clinics, running tournaments and promoting Pickleball.
Some of my Pickleball accolades are:
